FAQs
Common Questions
Quick answers about sourcing, testing, shipping, and how we work with B2B buyers worldwide.
Are the reconditioned products reliable? How do you test them?
Yes. Every 'Used / Tested' item in our inventory goes
through a functional test by our in-house technical team before listing. We
test for operational performance, not just visual condition. Units that fail
testing are never sold — they are either repaired, re-tested, or scrapped. We
offer a 30-day functional warranty on all tested electronics.
What types of marine equipment does SAR Marine supply
SAR Marine supplies marine navigation electronics (radar,
ECDIS, AIS, GPS, gyrocompass, VDR, echosounder, autopilot), automation and
electrical equipment (PLCs, VFDs, sensors, control panels), marine lighting
(navigation lights, explosion-proof, deck, emergency, cabin), and rig and
offshore spares (hydraulics, pneumatics, valves). We stock 10,000+ SKUs from
30+ global brands.
Where do you source your marine spare parts?
We source directly from vessels arriving at the Alang
Ship Recycling Yard in Bhavnagar, Gujarat — the world's largest ship recycling
facility. Over 300 ships are processed here annually, providing access to a
continuous supply of authentic, well-maintained marine equipment from every
vessel class.
Q4: Do you ship internationally? What countries do you serve?
Yes. SAR Marine ships to 50+ countries worldwide. We
handle all export documentation including commercial invoices, packing lists,
certificates of origin, and country-specific compliance paperwork. We use air
freight for urgent orders and sea freight for larger shipments.
How much can I save compared to buying new OEM equipment?
Typically, buyers save 40–60% compared to new OEM
pricing. The exact savings depend on the equipment category, brand, and
specific model. Contact us with your requirement and we will provide a
transparent comparison.
Can you source specific parts not currently listed on your website?
Yes. Send us the model number, brand, and quantity
required via email or WhatsApp. Our sourcing team checks current inventory and
upcoming vessel arrivals. We respond to sourcing inquiries within 4 business
hours.
What payment methods do you accept?
We accept bank transfer (SWIFT/TT), PayPal, and other
methods by arrangement. Full payment or agreed deposit is required before
dispatch. International orders are invoiced in USD.
How quickly can you dispatch an order?
Most in-stock items are dispatched within 6-12 hours of
order confirmation and cleared payment. Urgent orders can be processed with
priority dispatch. Contact us with your timeline and we will advise on the
fastest available option.
Do you provide documentation with your products?
Yes. All orders are shipped with a commercial invoice,
packing list, and condition notes. Where available, we also provide original
product documentation, test records, and certificates. Additional export
documentation is provided as required by destination country.
Is reconditioned marine equipment legal to use on commercial vessels?
Yes. Reconditioned equipment meeting the operational
specifications of the original unit is permitted for use on commercial vessels,
subject to the flag state, classification society, and vessel's maintenance
policy requirements. Many ISM Code compliant ship management companies use
approved reconditioned parts as standard procurement practice.
